    SH.S.N.Sidheshwar Senior Secondary Public School Sector 9A Event: Counseling Session – Healthy Habits for a Healthy Mind Grade VI 29July 2026 ​A counseling session on "Healthy Habits for a Healthy Mind" was organized for the students of Grade VI with great enthusiasm and active participation. The session aimed to highlight the vital connection between daily physical/lifestyle habits and mental well-being. ​To deepen awareness, an interactive PPT presentation and discussion were conducted, showcasing key strategies for maintaining a healthy mind—such as balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, mindfulness, and limiting screen time. Students actively participated by sharing their daily routines, and stay focused in their academic and personal lives. ​The session not only instilled self-care and emotional resilience among young learners but also encouraged them to adopt positive daily habits for long-term well-being. The event concluded with an inspiring message motivating students to make mindful choices every day.

      Memory Matters: Strategies for Smarter Learning
      A highly enriching Workshop on "Memory Retention" was conducted for the students of Classes IX and X. The session was led by Mr. Kuldeep Singh, an education expert associated with The Times of India, CBSE Resource Person, Edumentor, and Motivational Speaker. The programme commenced with the felicitation of the resource person by our respected Principal Ma'am, who presented him with a sapling as a symbol of gratitude and a warm welcome.
      During the workshop, Mr. Kuldeep Singh introduced students to the 5-Step Memory Plan, the 7 Golden Rules of Better Memory, and a variety of engaging classroom activities designed to strengthen memory, improve concentration, and make revision more effective. The interactive session encouraged active participation, with students enthusiastically taking notes and practising the techniques shared.
      The workshop proved to be highly informative, interactive, and inspiring, equipping students with practical learning strategies that will support their academic success and lifelong learning.

        "Nature is the foundation of life. Protecting it today ensures a better tomorrow."
        To mark World Nature Conservation Day, a special morning assembly was conducted by the students of class VII with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment towards environmental conservation.
        The assembly commenced with the ceremonial presentation of a sapling to our respected Principal Ma'am, symbolising hope, growth, and our shared responsibility to nurture Mother Earth. Students also showcased their creativity by preparing beautiful handmade nature-themed badges, reflecting their dedication and love for the environment.
        The celebration featured inspiring speech, soulful English and Hindi poems, and a thought-provoking skit that highlighted the importance of conserving nature and using natural resources wisely. The inspiring address by our respected Principal Ma'am Ms Jagpreet Kaur motivated the students to adopt sustainable practices and become responsible custodians of our planet.
        The assembly concluded with a collective pledge to protect nature and contribute towards building a cleaner, greener, and healthier future.

          Our school proudly participated in Rhythmic Raaga 2026, the Inter-School Music & Dance Fest held on 27 July 2026 at Amity International School, Sector 46, Gurugram.

          Representing the school in the Solo Wind Instrument category, Hridhan of Class X showcased an excellent performance and secured the Third Position. The school congratulates him on this wonderful achievement and wishes him continued success in the future.

              The school commemorated Kargil Vijay Diwas with a special programme dedicated to honour the valour and sacrifice of the Indian Army. The event was graced by Lt. Col. R. K. Rao as the Chief Guest. Through a power-point presentation, the students of Class VIII highlighted the significance of Palampur's Kargil Shaheed Park. A thought-provoking skit depicting the story of the Kargil War, a heartfelt Hindi poem and a patriotic song filled the atmosphere with pride and patriotism.
              In his inspiring address, Lt. Col. R. K. Rao shared his experiences from military life and urged the students to uphold the values of discipline, dedication and patriotism. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by the School Principal, Ms. Jagpreet Kaur, who expressed her sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, teachers, students and everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired by the spirit of patriotism and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers.

                To deepen awareness, a PPT presentation was conducted showcasing the significance of plants and ways to protect our mother earth. Students actively participated by bringing various saplings and planting them in the school premises, thereby contributing to the mission of a greener environment.
